HIMSS Will Sell its Annual Conference

London-based B2B publishing and events firm Informa announces its exclusivity to acquire the HIMSS Global Health Exhibition and Conference in its six-month financial report.

HIMSS has not commented on the news.

  1. Oh great, they are going to really kill their previous grip on the industry. I miss the day’s everyone just attended one conference, we’re just going to have it get more and more segmented where we can’t find anything of value.

  2. As a professional group I wonder if there was any board consultation? As a member, CIO, and Fellow I haven’t felt like I’ve had input on how this ship is steered in a long time, despite providing regular feedback.

  3. Thankfully Boards are always a part of the decision process for all kinds of organizations. I’ve been on many boards and a decision like this would take approval. Recommend learning more about org structures—Members in associations don’t typically vote on fiduciary motions.
