  1. “The results of the 2018 Black Book Integrated Ambulatory Systems including electronic health records, coding, revenue cycle management and practice management capabilities ”

    Help me understand this.

regarding Black Books love affair with Allscripts, What product does Allscripts currently sell which is truly integrated? And deserves a #1 Ranking. Their ProEHR/ProPM/Touch work is far from that. . They require a major amount of tape, glue, voodoo and plenty of Rogain .

Not sure about the McKesson product Paragon, That is NOT a go forward product Sunrise maybe but they can only push that onto the few clients left who are cash strapped and unfortunately are already existing clients.

And another quarterly announcement with no mention to their AI product “Avenel”. Maybe it was a true AI product and walked out the door to greener pastures.

  2. Funny how HIT pro’s are still confused on this. I think I can help … Black Book’s vendor report cards are collections of user level scores based on satisfaction polling.

From IT marketing experience I know they aren’t an analyst firm & they do not solicit vendor payments + vendor hand-chosen client lists prior to surveying and announcing vendor rankings. If Allscripts clients believe their products are integrated, then they are integrated! Its how their system rates.

At Epic we were awarded several Black Book top ratings across the years. It depends on the vendor marketing management to publicize the rankings or not. There we only promote our KLAS rankings.
