I am always bewildered when I see organizations wholesale outsource large corporate functions. What value does the organization think it’s receiving (it can’t be better service), and the paltry cost savings in the short term will eventually end up with the org paying a premium.
C-suite execs always assume that “they can do it better” and never question whether these firms might actually be worse.
So if the relationship with Accenture doesn’t work out for OhioHealth, does OhioHealth have a backout plan? I’ve seen a few disasters of this type.
