  1. Does use of the “cloud” infrastructure mean that Oracle’s newly transformative platform will be vaporware like many of Cerner’s previously touted advances?

  2. I sat on this for a day not wanting to respond emotionally . But this announcement is so disappointing….blah…blah… I challenge the readers to name one “HIT” company , where the founder is no longer in the equation and said company is doing anything impressive? Isn’t this why Judy /Epic is still dominant? I really loved the industry for many of the 40 years I was in it,but I see so few of interest now.

There are some interesting startups ,especially in the computer vision space, but seemingly no growth or mature companies that are anything other than talk.

I’m hoping to hear lots of objections to my comments

    • The HIT industry is mature right now. I would go farther an argue that even when the founders are present, there isn’t a lot of innovation or disruption going on. Incrementalism is the order of the day here.

Even all the chatter about AI? I suspect that this will ultimately be just a “go with” feature, and not anything that profoundly alters the competitive landscape.
