I actually applaud the executive order, but abhor the headline. The EO won’t meaningfully change the bottom line for healthcare organizations, but I’m all for the naming and shaming price transparency will bring. That headline though…Trump really does love to see his own name. I pity the staffer that had to be on the receiving end of whatever “my full name needs to be in every press release” rant he went on. I went back to the archives of the Obama whitehouse.gov statements and releases and the difference in professionalism vs. egoism in the headlines is immediately apparent.
