There is not any proof that meaningful use of electronic health records provides any improvement to clinical outcomes and to cost reductions. The Mayo Clinic computers do not communicate adequately with eachother as reported in the NY Times, so how could Probst, Mostashavi, HIMSS, NIST, or anyone else say that interoperability has been solved?
