VA thinking about using their own portal instead of Cerner’s: what are they smoking? If you’re going to spend billions on an integrated system, how could you not just get the portal, which is part of the native platform? Otherwise, how much are they going to spend on interfaces to get the two connected?
Yeah, I was a bit shocked by this. I’m not even sure if we (Epic) would allow a customer to buy outpatient clinicals without MyChart; could be wrong though since there’s always an exception.
