  1. The industry seems to be applauding the Allscripts acquisition of McKesson’s EIS business ( possibly as it means one more horse in the race – on paper only) to avoid a 2 vendor epic / cerner scenario that is the hospital EHR business!

where are the wins? 2-3 in a year is sufficient to boost earning and that’s existing clients?several challenges remain for Allscripts still struggling with integration on many fronts and a variety of challenges with the existing purchases-

nanthealth- terrible investment in a unproven technology and business that appears fraudulent
FollowMyHealth – customers complains and support level of service has dropped to typical allscripts levels i.e apathetic, poorly trained techs
dbmotion- how many population health wins has allscripts had?
what the heck is CareinMotion and who is successfully using the full suite anyway?
Recent departure of Martha Thorne to IBM Watson????
Touchworks- terrible product and roadmap – what’s the strategy there? get rid of the legacy teams running this beleagured product now that you have a McKesson product for the same base?
and here come McKesson’s products sold by Allscripts?
the internal dysfunction at allscripts continues as evidenced by slew of executives and employees running for the hills since 2016. a select coterie of client organization head and his loyalists are running the show. (driving out what’s left of the women)
Paul Black has not managed to successfully clean up the mess that is the support, development and services organization. In short, paul should have been chopped and MDRX should be up for sale as its not a viable long term solution.
