AMA announces that after negotiating with CMS, the two have agreed on changes to the ICD-10 transition plan that will provide a one year grace period in which ICD-10 claims without the appropriate specificity documented will still be accepted.

I read over that CMS press release you have linked and I don’t see anything about ICD-9 claims being allowed for dates of service after 9/30/2015, or any kind of grace period. It still sounds like ICD-10 will be the vocabulary for diagnoses for visits after 9/30/2015. What am I missing?
