  1. No such thing as bad PR, i guess?

If I was Cerner (or CommonWell … is there a difference anymore?) I would not want to draw attention to the fact that we – the largest EHR vendor in the world – are more than two years late giving our customers the option to connect to the rest of the world: August 2016: https://sequoiaproject.org/patient-record-sharing-increases-using-carequality-interoperability-framework/

If you’re going to drum up excitement for the “golden spike”, you’re going to invite reasonable questions like:
    — Why isn’t the DoD connected 2 years post-live?
    — How many Cerner sites are live on Carequality?
    — How many Cerner sites are even live on CommonWell?

For a true “golden spike”, don’t there need to be trains running on both sides? Maybe “Bridge to Nowhere” would’ve been a more apt metaphor.
