Is it feasible for Epic to win the eventual VA RFP? I wonder if Epic could agree to some level of interoperability with Cerner that they don’t have now. The main issue I foresee is importing the Cerner chart into Epic when the service member transitions out of active duty. Could Epic and Cerner work something out so the notes, imaging reports, labs, encounters, etc. are categorized correctly and appear in Chart Review as if they were done directly in Epic?
The current transactions ticker on Cerner’s Interoperability page sure seems to be loading data from some interestingly-named web requests:
