Healthcare billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiung, MD’s digital health startup NantHealth acquires Harris Healthcare Solutions, which sells a suite of health information exchange products, for an undisclosed sum.

  1. Re: the replacement of Epic by HealthCare Partners at Talbert medical Group- In reality, the replacement of Epic went very well. There was one site that was lacking in clinical and operational leadership, and we experienced significant problems at that site with user acceptance particularly with the OBs. Otherwise, the conversion went well. Epic was very cooperative in working with us on this conversion effort. The changes in leadership and clinical informatics were not related in any fashion to this conversion, as evidenced by my being the CIO both before and after the conversion.
