  1. I hope this helps pull QuadraMed out of the tailspin.

They have good products and an appropriate vision. One of the few vendors with a single database for Closed Loop Medication Management…a huge challenge for many vendors.

We are customers and they have historically really struggled with execution of the vision.

  2. Can hear it now . . . .

We will be the largest EMR vendor. We can compete with Epic and win.

Goodbye to the HIM and core Rev cycle business . . . . Even though it is they are only solutions worth keeping . .

Can’t just sunset the Affinity stuff then acquire technology from Misys (who couldn’t make it work), slap a below average brand (QuadraMed) on it who has real challenges being in the public markets and expect that you are now a dominant Clinical CPOE and EMR vendor . . . .

  3. Duncan is a “cut to profitability” kind of guy. He is not a business builder nor one that employees are loyal to. Nor did customers care much for him. Would be very surprised if any of the quality people coming out of McKesson would be joining Quadramed.

  4. Wow, wonder what his non compete agreement was like with McKesson. How much is that going to cost Quadramed?

Not a great person to work for at all

  5. Duncan James was involuntarily terminated by MCK 45 days before he showed up at QDHC . . or maybe he “voluntarily” resigned . . . regardless he didn’t leave because he wanted to . . . . you think the clinical focuses at MCK were great? Horizon clinicals = JOKE . . never worked and never will . . . can’t even interface to their own products . . . Duncan led the business unit . .

    Happy days ahead for +QDHC . . . . Doik . . .

  6. Death-Spiral with Duncan James at the helm. Since he took over – No new sales, sales pipeline empty, botched software releases, demoralized staff with his “cut to the bone” idea of leadership, and it goes on… But, to be fair, they hired this guy to be a chop-shop artist. HBOC is no doubt immensely relieved to see him gone. Another master-stroke by the Quadramed Board of Directors!
