  1. Thanks for your coverage of the PA and CT HIE disasters — these are just the tip of the iceberg on federal HIE program.

    Learning from the past does not seem to be a strength among Connecticut HIE leaders. Their new SIM/HIE “plan” has all of the hallmarks of disaster that befell their statewide HIE:

    The “plan” includes $10.4M in federal funding, though the state auditor report notes that the previous HIE disaster still owes the federal government for matching funds and concludes “…that requirement remains unmet.” WTF??
