Arlington-based Virginia Hospital Center announces the promotion of Russell McWey, MD, to CIO. Dr. McWey was previously serving as the chief of medical imaging and was CMIO prior to that.
I realize that nobody wants to step forward and say, “These are our policies and standards, everyone else needs to adhere to them”, but with this many heads potentially arguing over every facet, it may never get done. Mostashari may very well need to step up and be the guy that he says he doesn’t want to be. You can’t please everyone all the time, and I feel like that’s what they’re trying to do.
