KLAS releases a report on cloud-based software solutions. Security and reliability were the two primary factors identified as preventing widespread adoption, despite high marks in both areas from actual users.

Why only these 3 vendors? I know Allscripts has been making a strong push to move client data to the cloud, glad to see the high marks. Allscripts recent purchase, Jardogs, is the #1 KLAS patient portal–coupled with a renewed effort to work with KLAS to increase client satisfaction, I think you’ll see a spike in Allscripts KLAS scores.
Mr. H, how was Allscripts at HIMSS, what’s your take on Paul Black and the exec team? Have thy turned the corner? They have signed new Sunrise clients and I hear upgrading a lot of their current Sunrise Clinical clients to integrated Sunrise Clinical and Financial. Now with dbMotion dont you think they are positioned as good as anyone for value based care? I just dont see that many HIT vendors who have that kind of product spread.
There is a TON of talk the Cerner is in talks to buy Nextgen. This buzz started before HIMSS and has taken off like wildfire.
The buyout would make sense.
