I am of an opinion - and I have had it for quite a while now, and this could be a perfect opportunity

Dell should buy Epic - for 5Billion - then give the product away

If Dell buys an EMR will you be able to configure it, via the web site, before it goes out the door?

I'd say Dell should buy Eclipsys... then we could all watch what happens to a rudderless battleship in a bathtub! I'm sure it would provide us all with lots of chuckles!

Dell........Meditech. Since Perot bought J J Wild which specialized in Meditech installations. That and the fact that our IT director hates Dell. It would be great fun to tell him that since Dell owns Meditech, we should buy all Dell servers.

"97% of doctors said the former would be more useful in their treatment of the patient."

So a study sponsored by a speech-to-text software company, based upon self-reported opinions of usefulness = proof of superiority? These results prove nothing. So what if the docs "believe it" would be more useful? What matters is whether or not you can prove that the narrative is more useful.

Let me know when someone other than a vendor has bothered to produce an objective evaluation of whether or not, for instance, the rate of prescribing errors, or incorrect diagnoses is lower when using a narrative note.
