Regarding Flash Ads... I'm liable to click on any ad that has something to do with something I'm interested in. On this site in particular, the flash ads are small and do not distract from the main content of the page. However, Flash Ads that pop up and distrupt the ability to view page content are very annoying and for the most part get deleted before the viewer even recognizes what the ad is about.

Re: Kid Rockette's request - if you are a student, you can freely use the Dorenfest Database for research. This is now owned by HIMSS Analytics. If you are not doing research, I don't believe you have access. I also am unaware of their requirements to see your research or have rights to it once you are done.

TPD wishes a Happy Thanksgiving to Mr. H.,Inga, and all of the HIStalk readership! I'm also overwhelmed by the support that i've gotten from the HIStalk readership, and never thought I'd achieve so much support from our wonderful readers. Enjoy the holiday!

"Seventy million dollars will be available for community college training programs and $10 million will used to develop educational materials to support the programs." from the Blumenthal parade

This gets more nauseating as time goes on. I am working for Uncle Sam with the funds being sucked up by HIT companies providing equipment that takes longer for everyone to do their work to keep patients safe in hospitals.
