Correcting EHR in Word 2007:

1. Click on the Word button in the upper left corner.
2. Go down to "Word Options" and click it.
3. Click on "proofing".
4. Scroll down to 'ehr' on the scrolldown, click and delete.

From Inga - it worked! Thanks! (Still sticking with HERtalk however.)

Re: Microsoft Support. What are they to do? When they announced they were getting into healthcare IT, the pundits said "Here we go again, another platform software company thinks they can give healthcare what it needs. Don't they know healthcare is different?" Now Angela protests that they seem to have built a healthcare-focused support organization. I'd love to hear the readers sound off on this one. Which do you really want, a healthcare-focused vendor or a generalist one?

Inga,

One suggestion for an interview. Anne Mulle the NP managing the Common Ground Health Clinic. Recent Free Clinic in New Orleans that implemented an EMR with all volunteer staff. They were back to full capacity within 3 months. IF volunteers can do it at a free clinic. I think private practice whiners and hold outs should be ashamed of themselves. I did their impementation in New Orleans the weeks prior and after MArdi Gras. Talk about good scheduling. :-) Now that they have a top of the line EHR they are able to qualify for more grant money and provide reporting to take them to a higher level of funding . The state agency was amazed that a 2 yr old street clinic had a fully functional EHR and were working it better than any clinic private or puvlic in the NOLA area.
