Stephanie Reel, humbly omitted to share the fact that she and many members of her HIT teams are also committed to teaching the next generation HIT leaders. Alan Coltri, M.S., Chief Systems Architect, and Steven F. Mandell, M.S, Senior Director, Center for Information Systems, Darren Lacey, CISO as well as many other members of her staff find time in the Hopkins tradition to teach in the Division of Health Sciences Informatics as well as other programs throughout the University. A. Scott Holmes – 2.14% of a $7b system is not low. The larger the system – the more economies of scale can be emphasized. A smaller stand alone facility usually has a higher % of revenue devoted to IT simply because they cannot spread the necessary infrastructre investments across multiple facilities.

The lines of Stephanie…..One side of me loves that — to see their dedication and commitment — but I worry that they are missing out on some important parts of their lives that they won’t be able to re-create.
