RE: TEPR

They recently changed their website. It used to say TEPR 2008 would have 5000 attendees and 200 exhibitors. This week is says 2000 attendees and 100 exhibitors.

Also, in 06 and 07 they tried to restrict presentations to non-vendors only but in a cost-cutting move they let some staff go and took the easier route of just having vendors and their clients present.

I'd be surprised if they even have a TEPR in 20009.

RE: Healthcare Leadership Council.

We all know of your disdain for McKesson, however this time Uncle John is joined by the Mayo Clinic, Vanderbilt, and Evanston Northwestern, all organizations that spend significant dollars on clinical research that benefits us all, and naturally they would like the government to keep funding. Better then spending the money on an endless war, at least in my opinion.

Denis Cortese, president and CEO, Mayo Clinic; John Hammergren, chairman and CEO, McKesson Corporation; Mark Neaman, president and CEO, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare; Colleen Conway-Welch, dean, Vanderbilt School of Nursing; Ronald Williams, chairman and CEO, Aetna; and Mary Grealy, president, Healthcare Leadership Council.
