El Camino-like messes ensures that I am always employed. As long as I can take the poor PM(s) and keep biting my tongue, there is always another mess to help fix. My family appreciates the ineptitude of healthcare IT. I say this in jest…sort of.

I’d be happy to get just half of that $200+ hourly fee – I could undercut the vendor and produce 10x as much without the huge bureaucracy.

Yes, the dynamic duo of MS/Intel went in, once Negroponte started to get some traction with his One Laptop/Child initiative. Not all that surprising once these companies realized that they may have been circumvented in the developing world. Negroponte is now on the ropes – he’s better visionary than he is a business man. Good to have him in the mix to keep Intel/MS honest, but the writing is on the walls. At least Negroponte may take some consolation in knowing that he has brought inexpensive computing to the masses.

WiserWiki is a nice start, but still thin on content. Another good site in biomedcentral – lots of good and free, peer reviewed papers.

but Inga, being shallow is okay. While collecting freebies are always okay, I need t-shirts this year for I have plenty of work on my “honey-do” list, living vicariously by looking at the booth abaes is the one thing I look forward to. LOL!

RE Scribes: What good old “Yankee” innovation will do every time to circumvent the issue at hand.

Maybe we can upgrade the duties of the “scribe” to include responsibility for physician bum hygiene and classify this upgraded position to “swipe.” Hey Folks, I only call them as I see them.
