There are 3 main ways to get $ for improvement or expansion: 1) going public, 2) selling to another company with synergistic ideas, or private equity funding. It looks like Picis and LYNX tried a little of all three. I say pretty smart especially for a comapny like Picis that is competing with bohemoth's like McKesson, Siemens, Epic, and Cerner........and no I have NO conection with Picis or LYNX!
